Create an AI Fellow
Frontierz Studio guides Admin users through AI Fellow creation in six steps. The AI Fellow is saved after the Define the purpose step, so Connectors and the Knowledge Base are configured on an AI Fellow that already exists in Studio.
Clicking New AI Fellow first opens a choice:
| Option | Use it for |
|---|---|
| AI Fellow | A standard AI Fellow for coaching, support, reference, public links, or general guided conversations. |
| AI Simulation | A role-play AI Fellow created from a persona, scenario, and assessment criteria. See AI Simulations. |
The six-step flow below applies to the standard AI Fellow option.
Choose an appearance. Pick the AI Fellow that will represent the experience from the avatar gallery. This choice sets the visual appearance and voice, and can be changed later.

General options. Set the AI Fellow's title, default language, and visibility (Public or Private). This step also includes:
- Allow screen sharing. Built-in capability the user can turn on during a voice call.
- Allow text chat. Lets users type instead of speaking. It can be useful when the conversation does not require voice. See Text chat mode.
- Info screen. Optional welcome modal shown whenever the user opens the AI Fellow. See Info screen.

Choose a template. Pick a built-in purpose template (Training Coach, Onboarding Assistant, Technical Support, and others), or start from scratch.

Define the purpose. Write the instructions that determine how the AI Fellow behaves: role, tone, scope, and limits. See Define the purpose. When this step is completed, Studio saves the AI Fellow and opens the remaining configuration against the saved record.

Configure Connectors. Connect the AI Fellow to the systems it must access, and confirm the built-in capabilities that should be active, such as screen sharing. See Connectors.

Upload knowledge. Up to 20 reference documents that the AI Fellow uses as reference material. See Knowledge Base.

After confirming the expected behavior in a test conversation, review the AI Fellow's visibility and select a deployment method: standalone link, embedded widget, or preview link. See Deployment options.
