Knowledge Base
The Knowledge Base is the set of documents you upload to an AI Fellow. The Fellow reads them, indexes them, and uses them as ground truth when it answers questions during conversations.
Supported formats
You can upload any of these:
- Word (
.docx,.doc) - PowerPoint (
.pptx,.ppt) - Plain text (
.txt) - Markdown (
.md) - Audio (
.mp3,.wav,.m4a), auto-transcribed - Video (
.mp4,.mov,.webm), auto-transcribed
Audio and video files are transcribed automatically. The transcript becomes part of the Fellow's reference material.
Upload documents
Open the AI Fellow's editor.
Go to Knowledge Base.
Click Upload, or drag and drop the files into the upload area.
Wait for processing to finish.
The Fellow can now reference any of these documents in its answers.

Limits and tips
Each AI Fellow holds a maximum of 20 documents in its Knowledge Base, and 50 MB per file. If you need more material, combine related documents into a single file before uploading.
Two practical things to keep in mind:
- Concise documents work better than long ones. Very long source material is more likely to be missed in specific answers. Trim documents to the parts that are actually useful.
- Updates happen on save. Add or remove documents at any time. The Fellow re-indexes when you save and uses the new material in the next conversation.
